Joycelyn Jackson, Administrator
Joycelyn Jackson is an accomplished musician with a strong background in arts administration. She holds a Master of Music in Orchestral Flute Performance from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Mercer University, where she graduated Summa
Cum Laude. Joycelyn’s educational journey also includes a Teaching Certification Candidate program at Georgia State University.
Throughout her career, Joycelyn has gained valuable experience in various arts organizations. In addition to the Peachtree Road Music Academy, she is an education intern at the AtlantaSymphony Orchestra.
Additionally, Joycelyn has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring roles. She has worked as a Student Lecturer of Flute at Georgia State University, teaching music education students and conducting a flute choir. As a Flute Teaching Artist at Atlanta Music Project, she
has led instructional classes and organized recitals. Joycelyn also teaches flute classes and directs student flute choirs in the Fayette County School System.
Throughout her performance career, Joycelyn has received numerous accolades and awards, highlighting her exceptional musical abilities. She has been recognized as a Dean’s Award Winner and Honors Competition Winner at Georgia State University. Joycelyn has also won the Brumby Concerto Competition and has been selected to participate in masterclasses by renowned artists such as Gina Hughes and Christina Smith.
With her combination of musical talent, administrative expertise, and dedication to the arts, Joycelyn Jackson is excited to be at Peachtree Road Music Academy and hopes to contribute her skills and passion to support the academy’s mission of providing exceptional music education and fostering a love for the arts in students of all ages. She looks forward to utilizing her organizational and communication skills to help manage operations, coordinate programs, and create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment for students.
